Job summary

Queen Victoria Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dental Nurse to join a busy Maxillofacial outpatient team. The role involves assisting clinicians in orthodontics and supporting clinics across maxillofacial, head and neck oncology, facial trauma and MOS areas.

You will be part of a compassionate team delivering high-quality patient care within a specialist NHS hospital recognised for reconstructive surgery and rehabilitation services. Training and development support are emphasised.

Qualifications

• Specialist nursing support to maxillofacial clinicians, Orthodontists and hospital practitioners, within the department.
• Work as part of a team to provide a safe, effective, efficient care environment for patients, relatives and carers.
• Under supervision, be responsible for assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care.
• Demonstrate procedures and supervise unqualified staff, and work without direct supervision.
• Honor the Trust's Core Values by demonstrating appropriate behaviours and encouraging this in others.

We are looking to recruit a Dental Nurse to join our busy and diverse team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with our Maxillofacial outpatient department comprising of a number of specialist areas such as Orthodontics, Orthognathics, Head & Neck Cancers and Trauma and Minor Oral Surgery.

• Assist with clinicians in orthodontics
• Help with running Maxillofacial and Head and neck Oncology clinics
• Help with facial trauma clinics
• Assist clinicians with MOS
