Overview of the Position
We seek a skilled and experienced technician to join the Division of Dentistry to support an existing academic staff member.
The position will be part of an established Divisional team, working closely with senior academic staff.
The primary focus is to provide technical assistance and support, with minimal supervision, in the Biomaterials laboratory within Coupland III Building. Assistance may also be needed in other related University laboratories. The role includes ensuring safe working practices and health and safety compliance in laboratories.
The work is varied, supporting laboratory duties, multiple projects, and postgraduate students.
Ideal candidates should have biomaterials research experience and proficiency in multiple techniques and data analysis.
The role involves learning new techniques, collaborating with facility staff, and supporting all levels of academic research staff at the University of Manchester.
This is a 6-month initial contract with potential extension depending on support needs.
