The Role - Dental Hygienist at Angle House Islington

Are you a highly motivated and patient-focused Dental Hygienist looking for an autonomous role in a supportive practice? We have an exciting opportunity for a self-employed Dental Hygienist to join our friendly team.

This is a fantastic chance to build your own patient base with the backing of our administrative support and modern facilities. As a self-employed Hygienist, you will be responsible for your own professional development, indemnity, and tax matters.

Key duties:

  • Performing thorough dental scaling and polishing.
  • Providing comprehensive oral hygiene instruction and education, tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Applying topical fluoride treatments and fissure sealants as required.
  • Screening for oral cancer and advising on preventative measures.
  • Providing dietary advice pertinent to oral health and advising on smoking cessation.
  • Maintaining accurate, comprehensive, and confidential patient records.
  • Collaborating effectively with the wider dental team to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Adhering to GDC standards, practice protocols, and all relevant health and safety regulations.

Hours & Remuneration:

  • Alternating Fridays: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
  • Alternating Saturdays: 9:00 AM - 2:00 PM
  • Pay: 50% of profit
  • Start: August 2025

Requirements:

  • Diploma in Dental Hygiene / BSc in Oral Health Scienceor equivalent
  • GDC Registration
  • Indemnity insurance
  • An excellent communicator, capable of building strong rapport with patients
  • Committed to providing the highest standards of oral hygiene education and treatment.
