Sign on Bonus: $5,000

We are looking for a full-time Dental Hygienist in our Konikoff Dental Associates - Harbour View office located at 5849 Harbour View Blvd, Suffolk, Virginia 23435 to join our clinical team by providing a high level of patient care and satisfaction while operating in a team-based environment. This person will handle a variety of clinical duties for dental office operations including cleaning teeth and examining oral areas, head, and neck for signs of oral disease. They may also educate patients on oral hygiene, take and develop X-rays, or apply fluoride or sealants. All aspects of the job require an exceptional level of customer service and communication skills.

Schedule: (Full-time Schedule) Monday 7:50 AM - 6:00 PM; Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 7:50 AM - 5:00 PM, and one Saturday per month 7:50 AM - 12:00 PM. (Part-time Schedule) Monday 7:50 AM - 6:00 PM, Thursday 7:50 AM - 5:00 PM, and one Saturday per month 8:00 AM - 12:00 PM.

Compensation: $45 - $49/hour plus monthly incentive bonus.

Skills: X-Ray required, Local Anesthesia preferred.

Average Patients Per Day: 8

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

• Through the delivery of periodontal therapies and other hygiene-related services, Dental Hygienists are committed to improving the oral health of patients. Candidates must be enthusiastic about their dental work and willing to provide the highest level of care at all times.
• Under limited supervision, the Dental Hygienist provides oral hygiene dental treatment and oral hygiene care and education in accordance with guidelines approved, issued, and regulated by the state in which they work.
• Patient screening, medical history, and dental charting.
• Application of fluoride and protective sealants. Removal of calculus, stain, and plaque from above and below the gum line.
• Provides nutritional counseling and self-care programs to prevent disease.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Desired Skills:

• Active Hygiene license for the state you applied, required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
