Dental Hygienist

New Hygienist opportunity at Finaghy Orthodontics, Belfast.

Finaghy Orthodontics is a modern, fully equipped 7 surgery practice offering a specialist orthodontic service to a wide catchment area. Past winners of the Best Referral Practice, Ireland. Focused on delivering a first-class experience for our patients; 99% of those who responded to our survey would recommend us to their friends or family.

We are now seeking a Hygienist to join the team!

We can offer:

• This will be the first time the practice has offered onsite Hygiene services and as such is the ideal role for those looking to create a new service offering within a specialist practice environment. 1 day per month to start, increasing to biweekly then weekly ASAP.
• The ideal opportunity for a Hygienist looking to offer this valuable service to all of our patients considering orthodontic treatment, going through their orthodontic treatment, post-treatment for ongoing dental hygiene, and a direct access service for those looking for this treatment within a high-quality practice environment.
• Internal referrals plus direct access.
• An autonomous role, with Nurse support, suited to those who would embrace setting up this service and being involved in decision-making on things such as diaries and patient rates with the Practice Manager.
• Our Finaghy practice is a recently refurbished, 7 surgery practice with state-of-the-art equipment such as an iTero scanner to enable digital workflows.
• All surgeries are spacious with windows and natural light, and we have an in-house laboratory which enables a same-day service.
• Our existing team consists of 6 Specialists Orthodontists, one of which is an NHS Consultant, plus an experienced support team; 2 dedicated Orthodontic Therapists, one of which has been with the practice for 15 years, the other recently qualified via our internal progression pathway.

The requirements

For this role, we require an experienced and autonomous Hygienist with active GDC Hygienist / Dental Therapist registration. You will be someone who embraces being the only Hygienist onsite and will be experienced in offering Direct Access.
