Job summary

The Parks Dental in Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, United Kingdom is seeking a Dental Hygienist or Hygiene Therapist to join a fully private practice with an established patient list. You will take over a busy diary, with two months booked and a supportive clinical team.

Flexible working options to suit 3 or 4 days per week, 9am-6pm, Direct Access, radiographs and routine hygiene treatments form the core duties.

Qualifications

• GDC registration as a Dental Hygienist or Hygienist/Therapist is essential.
• Experience with Direct Access and radiographs is required.
• Proven hygiene patient care, scaling and maintenance experience expected.
• GBT training or interest is beneficial for practice approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide Direct Access hygiene and periodontal treatments to patients.
• Carry out examinations and take radiographs for new and existing patients.
• Deliver routine hygiene care and periodontal maintenance.
• Take radiographs and provide tailored oral health education.
• Collaborate with clinicians to ensure high patient care standards.

About the role

This is a varied role where you’ll be working with patients of all ages within a fully private setting.

Working days and hours:

• Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday 9am-6pm.
• Opportunity to work either 3 or 4 days per week.

Your workload will include:

• Providing Direct Access appointments.
• Carrying out examinations for new and existing patients.
• Delivering routine hygiene treatments and periodontal maintenance.
• Taking radiographs.
• Providing preventative oral health advice and tailored patient education.
• Undertaking composite fillings and other therapy treatments where appropriately qualified.
• Working closely with our clinicians to deliver outstanding patient care.

Practice approach

As an EMS Guided Biofilm Therapy (GBT) Practice, we’re committed to providing the very best preventative care using the latest techniques. GBT training and experience would be beneficial to support our approach to patient care.

Our practice is fully digital, utilising TRIOS intraoral scanners for digital impressions, helping create a seamless experience for both clinicians and patients.

What we’re looking for

• Is GDC registered as a Dental Hygienist or Dental Hygienist/Therapist.
• Is confident carrying out Direct Access appointments and examinations for new and existing patients.
• Is experienced in taking radiographs.
• Has experience providing high-quality hygiene treatments and periodontal maintenance.
• Is confident undertaking composite fillings, where qualified.
• Has GBT training or experience, or is keen to develop their skills in this area.
