The Job

Our client is currently recruiting for a highly skilled and experienced Master Ceramist for a leading dental laboratory. This is an exceptional opportunity to contribute to the creation of high-quality, aesthetically pleasing dental prosthetics and restorations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Fabricate a wide range of dental prosthetics, including crowns, bridges, veneers, and implant restorations.
  • Accurately interpret dental prescriptions and specifications.
  • Match patient's natural teeth to colour guides, creating lifelike restorations.
  • Perform ceramic build-ups for single to full arch cases.
  • Apply advanced techniques in layering, staining, and glazing.
  • Utilize various materials, including porcelain, acrylic, and zirconia.
  • Collaborate with dental technicians and dentists to ensure proper fit and aesthetics.
  • Maintain strict quality control procedures and attention to detail.
  • Stay current with the latest advancements in dental ceramics and materials.

The Profile

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience as a dental ceramist, with a proven track record of excellence.
  • Advanced knowledge of dental anatomy, occlusion, and aesthetics.
  • Proficiency in all aspects of ceramic work, including implant cases, smile design, and veneers.
  • Strong artistic aptitude and colour-matching abilities.
  • Experience with CAD/CAM technology preferred.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Certification:

  • Foundation Degree in Dental Laboratory Technology preferred.
  • Certified Dental Technician (CDT) certification highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per year (depending on experience).
