We are seeking a talented Dental Assistant to join our Dental Practice Team at the Harbor Community Health Center in Plymouth. Role:

The Dental Assistant prepares and maintains clinical areas, assists chair-side during procedures, ensures equipment is in working order, follows health and safety standards, and implements infection control protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Review medical charts, perform patient intake, and document in Electronic Dental Record (EDR).
• Prepare clinical areas for treatment.
• Assist dentists chair-side during procedures.
• Enter patient information into EDR.
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients.
• Implement infection control procedures per CDC and state guidelines.
• Expose and duplicate radiographs as directed.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Maintain logs and checklists for equipment and supplies.
• Assist in training new Dental Assistants.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma; coursework in business, biology, and chemistry preferred.
• Current Massachusetts Dental Assisting License.
• Radiology Certification or approval from BORID; BLS certification.
• Basic computer skills, including Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Bilingual skills (English and Portuguese or Spanish) a plus.

Compensation includes $500 at hire and $500 after 90 days in good standing (excluding former employees of HHSI). Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 40 hours weekly.
