Job Summary

Aligned with a team of Cigna Healthcare client managers, the DAE is a market leader for dental and vision client consultation, supporting Middle Market sales offices within assigned regions.

Each DAE supports their own region: Northeast, Southeast, West Coast/Texas.

Responsibilities include client retention, training/coaching, and product expertise to meet retention and profitability goals. Success factors include sales orientation, influence, credibility, and product knowledge in a changing market environment. The DAE operates independently with support from management and local sales teams.

Market Strategy Responsibilities

  • Host bi-annual portfolio reviews with EBSM and client managers to assess risk and develop retention strategies.
  • Develop strategies for each Tier 1 account focusing on growth, retention, and brand awareness.
  • Host annual meetings with Tier 1 accounts to review utilization and discuss solutions.
  • Consult on renewals, at-risk cases, and participate in finalist meetings.
  • Assist with new initiatives rollout and maintain communication between Dental Organization and sales offices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet or exceed persistency goals.
  • Maintain visibility and strong relationships with clients and brokers, promoting the Dental Value Proposition.
  • Participate in local market discussions and understand market dynamics.
  • Update the Portfolio Tool weekly for real-time tracking.
  • Promote new dental products and train sales partners on positioning and competitive techniques.
  • Maintain comprehensive product knowledge through ongoing training.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years in Dental benefits; healthcare sales experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, with strong analytical, judgment, and decisiveness skills.
  • Producer license required.
  • Strong influence, communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Financial acumen and membership growth focus.

Remote work requires internet service of at least 10Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.

Salary range: $80,900 - $134,800 annually, depending on experience and location. The role may be eligible for an annual bonus.
