Job summary

Streamline Search's Midlands-based client is a reputable demolition contractor seeking a Demolition Estimator to lead costings, tenders, and budgets for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.

You will analyse drawings, material takeoffs, and site surveys, collaborating with project managers and suppliers to produce accurate pricing and robust bid documents. Training and development are provided along with a pension and standard employee perks.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating or quantity surveying within demolition, construction, or civil engineering projects.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Strong numerical, analytical, and commercial awareness.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; estimating software or CAD desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate costings, budgets, and tender submissions for residential, commercial, and industrial demolition projects
• Analyse project drawings, specifications, and site surveys to calculate materials, labour, plant, and subcontractor requirements
• Work closely with project managers, site teams, and suppliers to gather technical and commercial information
• Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations to ensure competitive and realistic pricing
• Assist in the preparation of bid documents, schedules, and reports for clients and internal stakeholders
• Maintain and update estimating records, cost databases, and project documentation

Demolition Estimator - Position Remuneration

• Base salary: £65,000-£85,000 per year, depending on experience
• Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
• Holidays: Standard company holiday allowance plus bank holidays
