Essex County Council (ECC) are supporting Tendring District Council in recruiting a temporary Democratic Services Officer on an initial 4 week contract, on-site up to 2 days per week with evening attendance required. The post will act as a central contact for the Modern.Gov committee services IT system and will involve drafting reports, agendas and minutes, and advising on Council procedures.

• Experience in a customer-focused organisation is advantageous.
• Accurate and prompt document preparation is essential.
• Drafting and collating reports for committees.
• Minute taking for councillor-level meetings is required.
• Knowledge of Local Government functions and legislation is desirable.

Responsabilidades

• Arrange and attend meetings to support the Corporate Plan and decisions.
• Provide timely agendas, reports and minutes for Council and Committees.
• Draft and publish minutes and maintain high-quality committee documentation.
• Support Officers and Councillors with council procedures and protocols.
