Nightingale Hammerson is seeking a Dementia Support Worker in Leeds. Candidates should hold an NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care and possess experience in dementia care. Dementia Support Worker
An NVQ level 2 (or above) certificate in Health and Social Care is essential for this role, along with a minimum of 6 months experience within a dementia setting.
Rates of pay:
NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care: £13.52 per hour
NVQ level 3 in Health and Social Care: £14.35 per hour
Introduction to the role

We are seeking experienced individuals who meet these qualifications and can demonstrate a positive nature and a passion for person-led care. Our goal is to change how people with dementia are supported, and the role of a Dementia Support Worker is vital to our success.
As a Dementia Support Worker, you will help ensure that residents are treated with respect and dignity. Your approach should be empathetic, compassionate, and focused on making residents’ lives fulfilled and meaningful.
In specially designed communities, you will engage with individuals on their dementia journey, understanding their needs, encouraging, assisting, and supporting them to participate in leisure activities and daily living tasks, normalizing life as much as possible with joy and happiness. This role involves aspects of personal care, and you may support individuals showing signs of distress. With team support, you will receive tailored dementia training to enhance your skills and improve the lives of those you support.
