Job summary

St George's University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a UKDTN Research Nurse to coordinate the dementia trial programme. You will manage a portfolio of early phase mild cognitive impairment and dementia studies, working with multidisciplinary teams to meet local and national targets.

The post involves study set-up, patient screening, data collection and entry, and supporting patient choices while acting as an advocate. Close collaboration with the Senior Research Nurse is essential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the UKDTN research portfolio at St George’s.
• Identify suitable patients via MDTs and screening notes.
• Collect data, interview patients, monitor progress and enter data.
• Support patient informed consent and act as patient advocate.
• Report to the Band 7 Senior Research Nurse and collaborate with research teams.
• Attend UKDTN meetings and develop professional skills.
