Job summary

West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking a Band 8b Clinical Programme Lead to establish and develop the Care Home Dementia Support Service across South and West Hertfordshire. You will combine clinical leadership with programme management, guiding education, coaching and clinical support for care home teams.

The role, based in Watford, is a 37.5-hour week, with a fixed-term/secondment of two years and options for job share.

Qualifications

• Degree in a relevant healthcare profession and current registration.
• Master’s-level qualification or equivalent in clinical leadership, service development or programme delivery.
• Experience leading complex dementia or older people’s services is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead mobilisation, implementation and ongoing development of the Care Home Dementia Support Service.
• Build partnerships across care homes, primary care, community, social care and voluntary sectors.
• Provide clinical leadership, education and support to care home teams.
• Manage staff and budgets, fostering learning and continuous improvement.
• Drive quality, governance, and service evaluation using data and feedback.
