Job description

Dementia Care Assistant for a male adult - 4hrs p/w @£13.74 per hour - Widdrington - Morpeth - NE61

We are looking to recruit preferably a non-smoking worker to support a gentleman diagnosed with early onset Dementia, Lewy Body Dementia, medication well-controlled Bi-Polar Disorder, diet-controlled type 2 Diabetes, balance and mobility issues, for which he uses a walker.

This gentleman can be prone to falling hence, someone with good strength will be required to potentially assist in this instance.

This man is very capable of communicating and has an interest in Formula One motor racing, YouTube, planes, trains, cars and rock music.
Going out for walks is something he enjoys and this would be one of the areas you could support when accessing activities outside the home. There may be instances where the support will be within the home, or a bit of both.

There are two cats who live at home with this gentleman and his supportive wife who will also benefit from a little “me time.” Please apply if you feel you have the skills, a good sense of humour and are reliable.
