Hatzfeld Care Ltd is seeking a compassionate Activities Co-ordinator for a dementia-focused care home. You will plan, organise and deliver meaningful activities that support residents’ well-being, social interaction and cognitive stimulation.

The role emphasizes person-centred care, collaboration with care teams and families, and maintaining engaging programmes while adhering to safeguarding and safety standards. Hours include some weekends and mileage is compensated.

Qualifications

• Experience working with people who have dementia.
• Experience in planning and delivering activities in a care setting or similar environment.
• Reliable and trustworthy.
• Enthusiastic and motivated to bring positive outcomes and care for residents.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities tailored to residents' physical, emotional, social and cognitive needs.
• Promote participation in group and one-to-one activities such as arts and crafts, music, reminiscence, games, gentle exercise and gardening.
• Collaborate with care staff, families, volunteers and entertainers to enhance activities.
• Monitor engagement and progress and adapt activities to changing needs and abilities.
• Ensure activities are inclusive, safe and appropriate for dementia stages.
• Maintain supplies and manage the activity budget.
