Hatzfeld Care Ltd in Hull is seeking a compassionate Activities Co-ordinator for a dementia care home to plan, organise and deliver meaningful activities that promote wellbeing and social interaction for residents living with dementia.

Qualifications

• Reliable and trustworthy

• Experience working with people who have dementia
• Experience in planning and delivering activities in a care setting or similar environment
• Mileage paid over 5 miles (up to 50 miles per day)

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver activities tailored to meet residents' physical, emotional, social, and cognitive needs.
• Promote participation in group and one-to-one activities such as arts and crafts, music, reminiscence therapy, games, gentle exercise, gardening, and themed events.
• Collaborate with care staff, families, volunteers, and external entertainers to enhance the activity programme.
• Monitor and record resident engagement and progress, adapting activities to changing needs and abilities.
• Ensure activities are inclusive, safe, and appropriate for residents at various stages of dementia.
• Maintain supplies and manage the activity budget.
• Comply with safeguarding and health & safety regulations at all times.
