About the role

We have a great opportunity here at Tesco for a Demand Planner to join a successful team!

You'll be at the forefront of the business delivering products for customers and colleagues every day.

You will be responsible for ensuring product availability in store, managing stock levels, and maintaining stock quality across the Home department by planning and executing the flow of stock from suppliers to stores. This role involves working with suppliers worldwide and collaborating with colleagues across the business.

Responsibilities

• Producing and analysing stock and availability reports, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Providing forecasts at short, medium, and long-term levels and sharing with relevant stakeholders.
• Reviewing supplier Failed To Arrive reports and short deliveries daily.
• Collaborating with suppliers to ensure optimal stock placement and timing.
• Creating intake and allocation plans for promos, events, range changes, and continuity products to ensure availability and manage clearance stock.
• Working with Category & Supply Chain teams to understand and deliver the trade plan, including in-season activities.
• Monitoring sales, stock, and margin performance, and understanding their relationships.
• Developing knowledge of the WSSI process and providing relevant information as needed.
• Highlighting potential issues for launches and ongoing products, and proposing solutions.
• Participating in regular reviews to capture learnings and suggest improvements.
• Producing forecast volumes for demand planning and providing visibility to distribution via the Activity Plan.
• Adhering to the Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence.

Requirements

• Experience in Supply Chain or Merchandising roles.
• Experience working with suppliers.
• Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines amidst changing plans.
• Experience in forecasting and stock management.
• Data analysis skills and a customer-focused mindset.
• Ability to adapt to change and prioritize tasks effectively.
