STADA UK Thornton & Ross - Demand Planner

Huddersfield | U.K.| Full-time | Fixed-term 12 Months

As a Demand Planner, you are responsible for collating and maintaining the Unconstrained Demand Plan for the UK business to ensure our commercial opportunities are realised and service level targets are achieved. You will be fully responsible for maintaining the process and collaborating with our commercial functions to ensure a robust forecast. You will take the lead in the Demand Review process as a key pillar of the Integrated Business Planning Process, ensuring the demand plan is accurate and reconcilable versus business objectives. Your focus will be on ensuring forecast accuracy and challenges are mitigated where possible, analysing data to provide insight into performance. Working closely with other functions to maintain healthy inventory levels and maintain stock availability in line with market performance.

How You Will Make an Impact

  • Strategic Planning: Support the development and execution of comprehensive supply chain strategies aligned with the company's commercial objectives.
  • Commercial Collaboration: Partner with Sales & Marketing Leadership to create robust long term forecast & drive accuracy.
  • Demand Forecasting and Planning: Lead Demand planning activities to optimize forecast accuracy and minimise excess or obsolete inventory.
  • Process Improvement and Optimization: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory efficiency, reduce costs, and minimize lead times.
  • Sales & Operations Planning process: To contribute to the UK S&OP process by feeding in key Demand and NPD information and actions.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with internal stakeholders including sales, marketing, production, and finance to align inventory actions with commercial goals. Establish effective working relationships with the Global Supply Chain and be an active member of the community to support standardisation across the STADA SC network.
  • Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and manage supply chain risks effectively to mitigate potential disruption to customers, consumers and patients.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Monitor and deliver against supply chain KPIs and provide regular reporting.

What We Are Looking For
  • Minimum 3 years' experience within a Supply Chain planning team in a FMCG and\or pharmaceutical organisation.
  • Ideally, relevant bachelor's degree at grade 2:1 or above.
  • Experience of SAP or similar ERP systems.
  • Experience of Sales & Operations Planning or Integrated Business Planning (IBP).
  • Experience of working with Sales and Marketing/commercial function.
  • Ability to effectively interact at all levels and cross functionally both internally and externally.
  • Customer focused, collaborative, seeking solutions to problems. Proactive, creative and entrepreneurial in approach.
  • Excellent skills with the ability to positively influence change and deliver improvements.
  • Robust organizational and project management skills, adept at multitasking and prioritizing effectively to meet deadlines.
