Job description

Job Opportunity: Demand Planner

Pod Talent is excited to partner with a mission-driven consumer goods business seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Demand Planner to join their team in East Sussex (5 days in the office).

This role involves forecasting, planning, and managing inventory levels to ensure optimal product coverage while minimizing excess stock and costs.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Analyze forecasts using historical sales data, promotional uplift, forecast accuracy, and business targets.
  2. Support supply planning to ensure on-time, in-full dispatch at optimal inventory levels.
  3. Make key forecast decisions with appropriate lead times for successful execution.
  4. Present demand consensus, identifying gaps between demand and financial forecasts, including risks and opportunities.
  5. Collaborate with the strategy team on NPD reviews and SKU rationalization based on insights.
  6. Report on forecast accuracy in the monthly S&OP process and implement improvements.

About You:

  • Over 3 years of experience in Demand Planning, preferably in Food & Bev, Cosmetics, or Pharma.
  • Experience in SME or startup environments is essential.
  • Highly analytical with strong relationship-building skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Energetic, eager to learn, with a growth mindset.
  • Ability to work under deadlines and pressure.
