As a Demand Planner, your primary role is to serve as the vital interface between the Customer Supply Chain and our business. You will facilitate seamless communication, enhance forecasting accuracy, and optimize supply chain processes. Your role is critical in driving successful outcomes, fostering collaborative relationships, and ensuring optimal service levels.

Key responsibilities include:

Collaborative Demand Forecasting:

  1. Develop and maintain a customer collaborative demand forecast that integrates real-time market insights.
  2. Use accurate data to predict customer demand, enabling our supply chain to respond promptly.
  3. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including planners, sales, marketing, and finance.

Internal Relationship Building:

  1. Strengthen relationships within the organization by actively sharing knowledge.
  2. Work closely with planners, sales representatives, marketing teams, and finance professionals.
  3. Facilitate consensus-building to guide the company toward optimal forecasting decisions.
  4. Innovate and refine forecasting systems and methods to better anticipate customer needs.
  5. Drive processes and behaviours that enhance forecast accuracy at the customer level.
  6. Identify opportunities and risks related to customer replenishment performance metrics.

Supply Chain Expertise:

  1. Execute with excellence in customer replenishment activities.
  2. Provide timely feedback to the Supply Chain group regarding replenishment performance.
  3. Become the go-to Supply Chain Expert for assigned customers, actively contributing to service level improvements and collaborative relationships.

Integrated Business Planning (IBP):

  1. Participate in the Integrated Business Planning model.
  2. Collaborate with stakeholders to align supply chain strategies with business goals.
  3. Influence ways of working to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Knowledge/Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. (Desirable)
  2. Proven experience in forecasting, supply chain management, or related roles. (Essential)
  3. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail. (Essential)
  4. Excellent communication and leadership abilities. (Essential)
  5. Ability to balance competing priorities over extended periods. (Essential)

Technical/Professional Experience:

  1. Minimum 2 years commercial planning within FMCG/Beauty industry.
  2. SAP APO (Advanced Planner and Optimizer) experience essential.
  3. IT literate with experience of MS office applications.
  4. Intermediate or advanced Excel skills essential.
