Demand Planner

  • Location: Castle Cary
  • Salary: £31,900 - £35,900 dependent on experience
  • Company performance bonus
  • Hours: Mon-Fri
  • Type: Permanent

Job Purpose

Working with the senior demand planner to deliver an accurate forecast for 700 products across 14 sales channels and 2 territories in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders. The role aims to improve sales volume predictability, positively impact customer service levels, and support inventory optimization.

What are we looking for?

  • At least 2 years of supply chain experience (demand or supply planning)
  • Experience with planning systems such as FuturMaster, SAP
  • Excellent analytical skills with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Stakeholder management skills and the ability to build cross-department relationships
  • Proficiency with data systems and analytics tools like Power BI

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to create accurate demand plans for segments and customers, covering short, medium, and long-term horizons
  • Facilitate demand review meetings with account managers to ensure forecast alignment
  • Maintain data quality in planning systems, managing product launches, delists, and market changes
  • Track forecast accuracy, identify root causes of deviations, and implement corrective actions
  • Identify improvements and automate manual processes to reduce cycle time
