Job summary

The Range in Plymouth is seeking a proactive Demand Planner to join our Head Office team. You will forecast demand, manage stock levels, and support replenishment planning across our retail portfolio, ensuring product availability aligned with promotions and events.

Your role involves analysing demand patterns, identifying forecast anomalies, and working with Buying to optimise assortment and ordering volumes. Strong Excel and BI tool experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in demand planning, forecasting, replenishment, or supply chain within a retail or FMCG environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and identify trends.
• Proficiency in Excel and familiarity with BI or analytics tools.
• Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
• Strong commercial awareness with confident communication.

Responsibilities

• Forecast demand and ensure stock is available when needed.
• Review and analyse demand to reflect promotion patterns.
• Identify SKU forecast deviations and determine root causes.
• Place and authorise system-generated orders and manage ordering schedules.
• Forecast and manage upcoming promotions and monitor KPIs for inbound/outbound projections.
• Collaborate with Buying teams on assortment and ordering volumes.

Job description

As a result of our expansion plans, and our continued ongoing success we are seeking a dynamic Demand Planner to be based at our Head Office in Plymouth., As a Demand Planner, you'll play a key role in ensuring the right stock is in the right place at the right time. Using forecasting, data analysis and replenishment planning, you'll help drive product availability, optimise stock levels and support business performance across the supply chain.,

• Responsible for the forecasting demand of products ensuring that the right amount of stock is available when needed.
• Review and analyse demand, ensuring forecasts reflect expected demand patterns, including promotional events.
• Identify SKUs where actual sales significantly deviate from forecast, reviewing anomalies to ensure model accuracy and identifying root cause.
• Handle and review ordering exceptions
• Place orders and authorise system generated orders
• Create and maintain suitable ordering schedules to support availability and replenishment efficiency.
• Forecast and manage upcoming promotions
• Review KPIs as well as inbound and outbound projections
• Liaise closely with Buying teams on product assortment, forecast exceptions, and activity that may impact ordering volumes.
