Job Description
We are recruiting for an experienced Demand Planner to join an apparel brand in Nottingham. You will be responsible for sales planning, ensuring the availability of goods while considering stock levels, coverage ranges, surplus goods, and marketing activities.
The position offers 1-2 WFH days after completing the probationary period.
Demand Planner – Job Outline
- Responsibility for sales planning across international markets
- Overall responsibility for procurement quantities based on product management and general management specifications
- Monitoring and updating sales and procurement plans
- Processing orders, monitoring delivery dates, maintaining delivery lists, and controlling warehouse deliveries
- Recognising sales fluctuations for basics and adjusting scheduling accordingly
- Preparing sales and planning statistics
- Monitoring, communicating, and managing over- and under-deliveries
- Coordinating campaigns with sales teams (packaging, POS, sales campaigns)
- Creating seasonal costing sheets and price lists for international markets
- Managing freight, duty, and transport costs
- Liaising with internal teams in Nottingham, the Head Office in Europe, and factories in China
Demand Planner – Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 3 years experience in demand planning, supply chain, or forecasting roles
- Experience in fashion, apparel, or textiles is desirable
- Strong understanding of inventory management, freight, and logistics
- Highly analytical with proficiency in Excel
- Organised, disciplined, and adaptable to change
- Proactive with problem-solving skills to mitigate risks
- Confident communicator (spoken and written)
- Fluent in English; additional languages such as German or Chinese are a plus
- Good knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel; experience with Microsoft Navision and Power BI is advantageous
