Job description

A vacancy has arisen for a Demand Planner in Middlesbrough, UK, on a permanent basis.

The role of the Demand Planner is to develop and maintain a rolling 16-month demand forecast by collaborating with Commercial teams, analyzing historical sales data and market trends, considering external factors, and actively managing product changes and introductions.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Working closely with Commercial to develop and maintain forecasts for key customers and regions, analyzed and revised according to the S&OP calendar.
  2. Measuring, analyzing, and reporting on key process metrics, monitoring adherence to KPIs, and implementing solutions to improve forecast accuracy.
  3. Continuously improving forecasting techniques and approaches to track KPIs such as forecast accuracy and bias monthly.
  4. Making recommended adjustments to forecasts based on demand changes and market trends.
  5. Collaborating with Innovation and Commercial Teams to support the innovation agenda.

The skills you will bring to the team:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or a related field / equivalent.
  • At least 2 years of relevant experience, preferably within an FMCG environment.
  • Strong knowledge of demand planning processes and techniques.
  • Proficiency with SAP; experience with JDA is an advantage.
  • Excellent data analysis skills, extensive MS Excel experience, and strong mathematical abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Deep analytical skills and experience managing large datasets.
  • Experience within the European region is advantageous.
