Job Description

We are working with a Global Manufacturing business based in North Manchester who are looking to expand their Demand Planning team. They are ideally looking for someone with a background within FMCG environments.

Demand Planner – Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for achieving agreed SFD, stock levels, and CSL, monitoring ICSL, SSL for the defined portfolio.
  • Continuously reviews the Sales/Production forecast of the defined portfolio across short, mid, and long term, in both quantity and value.
  • Orders items from production sites, suppliers, and co-packers, and follows up on deliveries to fulfill the sales/production plan in terms of timing and quantities.
  • Communicates, manages, and resolves actual and potential supply issues.
  • Maintains and periodically reviews planning master data in SAP and IPB to implement forecasting models, replenishment, and stock strategies.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Coordinates co-packing activities focusing on availability, cost savings, production scheduling, and raw material replenishment.
  • Coordinates import activities.
  • Ensures timely and accurate sales forecast input from other departments (promotions, launches, delisting).
  • Prepares data for bi-monthly reviews and consensus meetings.
  • Manages SCM-related tasks related to quality issues.
  • Handles phase-in/phase-out situations and SLOBs.
  • Continuously seeks operational efficiencies through process improvements and new SCM solutions.
