About the Role

  • Demand Planning
    • Full business process ownership for the development of the 24-month operational demand/volume forecast for International & Distributor markets.
    • Ownership & Governance of the Demand Planning process and system, ensuring overall compliance with the global planning cycle and monthly activities.
    • Function as the key business reference for Commercial leadership with respect to the volume planning & continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Owner of the Demand Review step of the S&OP process.
  • Distributor Forecasting Collaboration
    • Function as the key business reference between Orveon and distributors.
    • Work with distributors to continuously improve collaborative forecasting, inventory management and replenishment processes to ensure on-shelf availability and drive operational efficiencies.
    • Build capability & mastery in distributor collaboration to drive continuous improvement in process, tools, and ways of working across the E2E process.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Demand Planning
    • Lead the Demand Planning processes for International markets to provide an aligned rolling 24 month operational forecast/volume plan.
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders to lead forecast generation, enrichment & review processes.
    • Provide item level forecasting for brand / customer FG portfolio, ensuring promo inputs from the customer planning process are integrated into the volume plan.
    • Share demand trends, key deviations and highlight volume risks and opportunities.
    • Manage portfolio changes and the integrity of master data to support life cycle management.
    • Support New Product volume planning, forecast change management & analysis.
    • Lead the Demand Review step of the S&OP with sales, marketing, and finance teams to ensure reconciliation & alignment of the demand plan.
    • Review and release of the statistical forecast and ensure it is leveraged as a base for the volume planning process - definition & review of model parameters.
    • Maintenance of Blue Yonder Demand Planning books & History cleansing.
    • Drive improved performance across all Demand Planning indicators including MAPE and BIAS- ensure KPI's are understood & fully embedded.
    • Build capability & drive continuous improvement in process, tools, ways of working & behaviors.
    • Conduct ongoing training on processes and systems for key users to ensure full understanding of the Orveon Demand planning process.
  • Distributor Forecasting Collaboration
    • Lead the Demand Planning processes for distributor markets to ensure an aligned rolling 24 month operational forecast/volume - Forecast generation, enrichment & review.
    • Understand and manage interdependencies impacting Distributor forecasting, order management and other supply chain processes, to improve forecast accuracy.
    • Build capability, analytics and process mastery to drive continuous improvement in process, tools and ways of working with Distributors across the E2E process.
    • Proactively assess and project distributor inventory health.
    • Analyze shipment & order pacing to identify potential risk of over or under stocking at Distributors.
    • Provide data and insights to support the prioritization of orders and/or allocation processes.

  • Internal:
    • CRO, Marketing, Sales Administration and Finance.
    • Supply Chain functional leads (Supply & Demand Planning, New Product Development, External Manufacturing Operations).
  • External:
    • Key Customers & distributors.
    • Consultants and IT partners.

Qualifications

  • +5 years' work experience in Supply Planning, CPFR, Finance, Demand Planning, or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of best-in-class commercial forecasting methods & tools in FMCG industry.
  • Experience in statistical forecasting (Blue Yonder preferred).
  • Understanding and experience of best practices in S&OP / IBP.
  • Experience working with international Distributors on collaborative forecasting.
  • Ability to engage, influence and collaborate with key stakeholders & senior leadership.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to communicate complex topics clearly and concisely.
  • Demonstrated ability to manipulate large raw data into reporting that is intuitive & impactful.
  • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills, proficiency in MS Office.
  • 4-year bachelor's degree required: major in business, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Business, Finance, Engineering, or related fields.
  • Fluency in English a must (written and spoken).
  • IBF or APICS certification, and Oliver Wight or similar Sales & Operations Planning Integrated Business Management certification a plus.
