Looking for your next move in FMCG demand planning? We’re partnering with a fantastic FMCG organisation within the grocery, household and healthcare categories to find a skilled Demand Planner to join their Commercial Operations team.
This is also a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate or someone who is due to graduate this summer, as our client will offer excellent training in order for you to thrive in their fast-paced, supportive environment.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing the demand planning side of the integrated business planning (IBP) process, ensuring that a 15-month statistical base forecast is updated monthly for all products / customers, and reviewed according to priority to ensure accuracy. You will ensure inputs from marketing, sales and finance are incorporated into the forecast.
You will be forecasting, monitoring the stock management and looking at the effects of supply variations. Reviewing micro and macro sales history trends in order to provide accurate sales forecasts will be a key focus within this role. In addition, you will be monitoring and maintaining stock and supply updates to ensure accurate stock levels are maintained to minimise waste and maximise profit. This role will be focused on analysis, trends and strategic thinking.
The position is office based with the flexibility to work from home up to two days a week.
About You
Of graduate calibre, you will have experience in a Demand Planner role within an FMCG company.
Excellent communication skills are essential and you must be confident liaising across departments, both internal and external to the company. You must possess good analytical and numerical skills along with strong team working skills. An advanced level of competency in Microsoft Excel is essential. A working knowledge of SAP would be highly advantageous.
Ambitious recent graduates, in e.g., Maths, Statistics or Business, will also be considered as our client offers an outstanding training programme.
