Demand Planner

  • Location: Castle Cary
  • Salary: £31,900 - £35,900 dependent on experience
  • Company performance bonus
  • Hours: Mon-Fri
  • Permanent position

Job Purpose

Working with the senior demand planner to deliver an accurate forecast for 700 products across 14 sales channels and 2 territories, collaborating with Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders. The role aims to improve sales predictability, enhance customer service levels, and support inventory optimisation.

What are we looking for?

  • 2+ years of supply chain experience (demand or supply planning)
  • Experience with planning systems such as FuturMaster, SAP
  • Strong analytical skills and a mindset for continuous improvement to drive efficiency
  • Stakeholder management skills, including building cross-department relationships and influencing
  • Proficiency with data systems and analytics tools like Power BI

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate to create accurate demand plans for segments and customers, covering short, medium, and long-term horizons
  • Conduct demand reviews with account managers to ensure forecast alignment
  • Maintain data quality in planning systems, managing product launches, delists, and market changes
  • Monitor forecast accuracy, identify deviations, and implement corrective actions
  • Identify improvements and automate manual processes to reduce cycle time
