Our client, prominent in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a skilled CMT Planning & Logistics professional for a contract role within their Air Business Unit. This position is based at Samlesbury and is part of a 12-month maternity cover arrangement. Initially, the role will be fully on-site, with potential for hybrid working after the first few months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Cutter Management Team
  • Handling approvals, resetting databases annually, and database management
  • Preparing and sending stock reports to suppliers
  • Determining ordering needs
  • Placing orders for three business units
  • Processing orders through the TDM system
  • Emailing order PDFs to suppliers
  • Monitoring stock on a weekly basis
  • Tracking budgets and generating monthly spending reports

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in demand planning
  • Proficiency in using Excel
  • Experience with database and stock management
  • Knowledge of Tool Data Management systems is beneficial
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a defence-related environment
  • Engage in critical projects within the defence sector
