Job summary

HRGO Recruitment is recruiting a Delivery Van Driver & Installation Operative for a depot in Chalgrove, England. The role involves delivering and installing specialist adjustable beds in customers' homes across the South, South West and Midlands, in a two-man team with full training provided.

Delivery Van Driver & Installation Operative (FJ-f8w2h) Chalgrove, England

Salary: GBP36738 - GBP36738 per annum + Overtime rate

We are recruiting a Van Driver & Installation Operative for a company specialising in adjustable bed sleep systems, working from their depot based in the Chalgrove area.

This is a full-time, customer-facing role involving the delivery and installation of specialist adjustable beds in customers’ homes across the South, South West and Midlands.

You will be working in a two-man team and full training will be provided. Occasional overnight trips may be required depending on routes and customer schedules (Possibly twice a month).

A satisfactory DBS check will be required. Candidates must also be comfortable driving into London.

Key responsibilities:

• Safely drive a company van and complete home deliveries across the region, including London.
• Deliver adjustable beds into customer properties (including upstairs where required).
• Assemble, install and demonstrate adjustable bed operation on site.
• Maintain excellent customer service, polite, professional, punctual and tidy.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks, report defects, and complete proof of delivery via paperwork/handheld device.
• Follow safe manual handling procedures at all times.

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience delivering goods to customers homes (essential).
• Installation/assembly experience (desirable); full training provided.
• Full UK driving licence (driving licence will be required).
• Comfortable driving into London and navigating urban routes.
• Physically fit and confident with heavy/bulky items and team-based work.
• Satisfactory DBS check required.
