Job summary

First Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Warehouse Operative in Oxford. The role involves receiving, stocking, picking and packing goods, and ensuring safe, accurate dispatch to production and customers.

You will work in a busy warehouse handling goods, data entry into the WMS, and maintaining stock records. The position requires Excel knowledge and a proactive, team-focused approach; heavy lifting is common, with overtime paid at 1.25x after contracted hours.

Responsibilities

• Take delivery of goods and supplies.
• Check for damaged or missing items.

• Ensure delivery of materials to production lines in accordance with production standards.
• Input data regarding stock and inventory into a computerised system.
• Keep accurate stock records.
• Carry out stock counts daily.
• Keep paperwork up to date.
• Ensure that all lifting and manoeuvring of product is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
• Operate in a safe manner complying with all health, safety and environmental requirements to ensure own and safety of others.
• Keep areas of work clean and tidy to ensure operational efficiency.
• Make recommendations to aid efficiency and add value.

Warehouse Operatives will be assigned to any warehouse operations mostly in goods in department HEAVY LIFTING INVOLVED, whilst working with a Warehouse Management System (WMS). You will need to provide a professional service to all departments, ensuring all warehouse duties are completed accurately within required deadlines, and in a safe manner.
