Delivery Manager (Electrical Network) - Aldermaston, Berkshire, RG7 4PL

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: £47,690 - £60,000 + Additional Benefits

Location: RG7 4PR, between Reading and Basingstoke, with free onsite parking.

Working pattern: AWE operates a 9-day working fortnight. Flexible working requests are considered to suit your lifestyle.

Role Overview

AWE is recruiting an Electrical Network Manager within our Utilities function. This delivery-oriented Network Manager will lead a small team to support various delivery and project tasks, ensuring operational excellence and project success.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Facilitate and support the delivery of low complexity projects, proactively managing risk across the network.
  2. Provide Network SME support to other projects across the site.
  3. Ensure uninterrupted service to AWE's operational site in support of our core mission.
  4. Manage natural resource use across the network.
Candidate Requirements

We are looking for candidates with experience in:

  • Effective stakeholder management
  • Team leadership and task management
  • Orderbook management
  • Construction / CDM experience
  • Financial control and reporting
  • Identifying and delivering to technical and regulatory requirements

Desirable Experience
  • Technician-based Apprenticeship / NVQ4
  • Project Management qualification (e.g., APMQ / Prince2)
  • Knowledge of network plant, government energy policies & strategies

  • Experience managing operational plant and teams
  • Engagement with regulatory bodies and hosting audits

Additional Information

Security clearance is required, funded by AWE. Applicants must have been in the UK for the past 5 years for SC clearance or 10 years for DV. Please inform us of any adjustments needed during the recruitment process. Interviews are typically conducted via Teams and are usually one stage. Flexible working arrangements are available, with a typical 4 days onsite per week.
