Job summary

Datasource Computer Employment Limited is seeking an experienced Delivery Manager to oversee complex IT and technology delivery within a Defence environment. The role focuses on end-to-end delivery across both structured and agile frameworks with strong stakeholder management, predominantly onsite in a Defence context.

Responsibilities include governance, cross-functional coordination, risk management and transition of solutions into live service, ensuring quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a Delivery Manager/IT Delivery Manager role within Defence.
• Experience delivering IT projects in structured and agile environments.
• Strong knowledge of Agile, Scrum, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies.
• Good understanding of ITIL and its application to service management.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end delivery of IT projects and services against timescales, budgets and requirements.
• Establish delivery governance frameworks and plans before transitioning into agile delivery.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including technical specialists, network engineers and solution architects.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies to support planning and execution.
• Manage risks, issues, dependencies and resources with clear mitigation and escalation.
• Engage stakeholders to manage expectations and communicate progress.
• Support transition of solutions into live service with proper documentation and handover.
• Monitor delivery performance and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
