Job summary

Eaton's Wimborne facility in Dorset specialises in air-to-air refuelling systems and related assemblies. We are seeking a Delivery Manager to lead the AAR aftermarket team in Wimborne and Fort Walton Beach, ensuring products are delivered on time, to budget and with the required quality.

You will coordinate with production supervisors, manufacturing engineers and cross-functional teams, manage WIP and risk, and provide financial forecasts to IPTs and the finance team.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND level qualification or time served experience.
• Experience in delivering product and meeting budgets desirable.
• Strong leadership, teamwork and issue-resolution skills.
• Financial awareness and ability to manage costs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the team delivers products to meet revenue budget targets.
• Oversee on-time delivery, cost control and quality of hardware and paperwork.
• Resolve issues with cross-functional teams (MP, ME, Engineering, Quality, Procurement).
• Maintain WIP management, forecasts, risks and opportunities with IPTs and finance.
• Lead weekly WIP/drumbeat meetings to confirm dates with material planners.
• Support FPY targets and respond to production variances.

Eaton WimborneLocated in Wimborne, Dorset, Eaton's Aerospace division is a global leader in aerospace fuel systems, renowned for delivering fully integrated solutions for both fixed and rotary-wing aircraft.Our Wimborne facility specialises in cutting-edge air-to-air refuelling systems, advanced refuelling probes, air-to-air and air-to-ground launch systems utilising both pneumatic and pyrotechnic ejection technologies, as well as a range of Defensive Aids Sub-Systems.With over 80 years of industry experience, we are recognised as the world’s leading provider of air-to-air refuelling systems, offering fifth-generation solutions to Air Forces worldwide.Our legacy of innovation and technical excellence sets us apart as the most advanced air-to-air refuelling supplier on the global stage.What you’ll do:Ensure the team deliver product to meet revenue budget targetsThe team comprises of the AAR aftermarket team in Wimborne and in Fort Walton BeachEnsure delivery is On time, to cost and with quality (Part and paperwork)Issue resolution, with the Production supervisor, Manufacturing Engineers, Material Planners, quality inspector, test technicians and fittersA key and instrumental role within the aftermarket teamThe Delivery Manager reports to the Value Stream Manager and is responsible for product delivery, on time (OTD), to cost and with quality (hardware and paperwork)Accountable for achieving the budget, which includes the early risk identification/mitigation and identification of opportunities (order book mid and long term assessment)Escalation of key issues to the Value Stream Manager and support meeting with the Operations DirectorProvides the financial forecasts to the IPT and the finance team, from the initial monthly review to regular in month updates with those risks and opportunities identifiedWIP management and accountability, including issue resolution and escalationRunning of the team WIP/drumbeat meetings ensure accurate completion dates are provided to the material plannersIssue resolution with the cross functional delivery team (eg MP, ME, Engineering, Quality and Procurement) such as NCRs, emerging design issues, Stop Notes and FAIRs.Key IPT/Ops interfaceFinancial, tactical and day to day issues, resolution and escalation (T2 attendance + escalation meetings)Understand relevant commercial flow downs that are associated with delivery and ensure they have been flowed out to the right teamsActs as a filter/barrier to the MPsReview delivery performance and highlight candidates for assurance stock holding or kitting, working with the inventory control and/or procurement teams to implement solutionsOTD and arrears management with the cross functional Ops/PROC and IPTs. Including the generation of materials for reportingOTTS management and tracking, run weekly team sessions including MPs, Procurement, Despatch team, investigate RCCA for missed deliveries and lead investigations with CI supportSupport the Production Supervisor and Value Stream Manager in achieving FPY targetsQualifications:Qualifications from HNC/HND level or above or time served experienceSkills:Must be a team player with good issue resolution and at times be able to perform under pressureMust have good financial awareness,Good/Proven management and leadership skillsExperience of delivering product would be beneficialThe successful applicant will be in contact with US ITAR controlled technology, goods, and information.
