Role Purpose for this Delivery Manager Role:
Responsible for delivering a portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects to meet quality, financial, and delivery targets within the DB ESG Consultancy revenue stream, ensuring high customer satisfaction. This involves coordinating technical resources with Team Managers for successful project delivery.
Accountabilities for this Delivery Manager Role:
- Ensure timely and budget-compliant delivery of bids and consultancy projects, positioning DB ESG as a preferred supplier and opening new opportunities.
- Develop strong relationships with existing and new customers and supply chain partners, acting as a key contact for consultancy inquiries alongside the Business Development team.
- Apply rigorous estimating methods during bidding to produce accurate budgets and competitive bids.
- Promote teamwork within DB ESG delivery functions, ensuring effective communication for bid and project success.
- Define project scope, manage milestones for time, cost, and quality compliance.
- Report project progress using business management tools (Business Central) for real-time status updates.
- Advise on the use of management tools, processes, and principles for project delivery.
- Collaborate with Team Managers for resource allocation and capacity planning.
- Maintain accurate business forecasts, including sales and costs.
- Collect and log customer feedback to inform the wider business.
- Serve as the point of contact for consultancy inquiries and customer liaison on live projects.
- Manage bid production to ensure quality, timeliness, and visibility, and compile proposals as needed.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Proven ability to build effective relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience leading resource teams in bid and project delivery.
- Experience with financial project reporting.
Desirable Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
- Team management experience.
- Experience delivering complex projects and proposals.
- High commercial awareness.
- Process development skills.
- Knowledge of project and opportunity cost forecasting.
- Understanding of the railway industry, legislation, and approval processes.
