Job Description:

We’re looking for a Delivery Management & Assurance Team Leader to join our Technology & Innovation Unit. In this permanent opportunity, you won’t just oversee delivery - you’ll shape it. From agile sprints to strategic programs, you’ll drive high-quality, cost-effective outcomes through expert assurance, coaching, and delivery leadership.

Your Role in Action
  • Lead & inspire - build and empower a high-performing team to deliver critical business outcomes across our complex tech landscape.
  • Champion smart delivery - embed the right project and program management approaches to keep initiatives sharp, focused, and outcomes-driven.
  • Drive alignment & assurance - ensure every project meets our Investment Governance and Delivery Frameworks, without exception.
  • Unlock momentum - lead initiatives that accelerate delivery, boost efficiency, and embed a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Keep delivery on point - partner with teams to adapt to shifting priorities, monitor performance, and maintain top-notch quality.
  • Shape the way we work - collaborate with delivery pros to evolve practical, fit-for-purpose frameworks
  • Enable transparency - design and run clear, effective governance and reporting that informs action and builds trust.
  • Engage and influence - build strong relationships, coach future leaders, and bring fresh thinking from across the industry to push delivery further.
What Makes You a Great Fit
  • Values-driven leadership with a proven ability to motivate and develop diverse technical teams toward shared goals.
  • Expertise in Agile frameworks and modern delivery methodologies tailored to digital technology projects.
  • Strong experience in project or program environments, with a clear grasp of the full delivery lifecycle, frameworks, and best practices.
  • Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills - able to influence, build partnerships, and embed sustainable business improvements.
  • Skilled in continuous improvement, coaching, and capability building to lift teams and outcomes.
  • Industry-recognised project management accreditations (e.g. PMBOK, PRINCE2, PMI-ACP) that back your practical expertise.

At Western Power, we’re leading a bold dual transformation - reshaping the future of energy while evolving the technology that powers it. This is more than just a modernisation of infrastructure; it’s a reimagining of how we deliver essential services to our communities, reliably and sustainably.

  • Build the future - be part of a once-in-a-generation tech transformation reshaping how energy is delivered. You won’t find a challenge like this anywhere else.
  • Grow fast - when you’re part of building something new, you grow in ways you can’t in business-as-usual roles. You’ll learn faster and go further through challenge, tailored development & study assistance.
  • Flexible work arrangements to support part time work, working hours and working from home arrangements.
  • The opportunity to purchase up to four weeks of additional leave per year.
  • Access to salary packaging, social club activities, and discounted health insurance and gym membership.
  • An award-winning employee recognition and benefits programme.
  • In addition to standard leave, enjoy three wellness leave days each year.
