Job summary

A logistics provider is seeking a Postal/Parcel Delivery Driver for Yorkshire and surrounding areas. You will sort and deliver parcels and letters by foot and vehicle, working up to 40 hours per week. A clean UK driving licence is needed, and while prior driving experience is beneficial, it is not essential. The position offers £13.37 per hour with potential for overtime on weekends.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with a maximum of 6 points.
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Sort and load deliveries at the local delivery office.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle.
• Lift and carry mail bags up to 16kg and parcels up to 20kg.

Pay Rate: £13.37 per hour

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week

Schedule: Monday to Friday & weekends, between 07:00 - 19:00

Overtime: Available on weekends

About the Role

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries.
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation.
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle - walking up to 8 miles per day.
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg).
• Use delivery trolleys when required.

Requirements

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred).
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
