Job summary

Ocado Logistics is hiring Delivery Drivers for Erith to join a customer‑facing team delivering groceries with on‑road duties daily.

Shifts include AM/PM with paid breaks; premiums apply to evenings, Sundays, and overtime. Perks cover pension, health, discounts, life insurance and career growth. Training is provided and 18+ with a valid licence is required.

You’ll be out on the road whatever the weather, but you can never have to fight over the radio station, and you can sing along as loud as you like! In return, we use our automated technology to pre-plan your route and pre-load your van!

Everyone likes their groceries at different times, so our working patterns will involve evenings and weekends in addition to weekdays - so on top of your base pay you will receive premiums that will increase your average hourly earnings to £14.42 per hour. You can also stack your earnings further with enhanced overtime to fund those special occasions! All your breaks are paid, meaning for every minute at work you get paid. That’s a great deal!

Requirements

You don’t need any previous experience to join our good-natured team, just bring yourself and a positive attitude, and our training team will do the rest! But you will need the following:

• Full UK or EU driving licence
• Minimum of 12 months driving experience
• Maximum of 6 penalty points
• No driving disqualifications in the past 5 years
• Over 18 years old, as some deliveries involve handling of alcohol products
• Good communication skills, since this is a customer-facing role

Contract Details

• Contract Type: Permanent
• Contract Hours: 37.5 or 40 hours (including paid breaks)
• Contracted days: Work any 5 days out of 7, with 7.5 or 8 hour shifts, further details during pre-boarding
• Shifts: AM & PM, starting as early as 05:30 and finishing as late as 12:00 (midnight). Please check your commute time prior to applying.
• Pay Structure: Lunar paid, every 4 weeks on a monthly schedule
• Hourly Pay Rates:
• Monday to Saturday (Basic Rate): £13.78
• Evening Premium (from 6pm): £14.90
• Sunday Day Premium: £15.16
• Sunday Evening Premium: £16.39
• Overtime Rate Monday to Saturday (Day Shift): £17.23
• Overtime Rate Monday to Saturday (Evening Shift): £18.35
