What you’ll be doing:

1. Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver a variety of products to our customers' doorsteps, on-time and in great condition.
2. Completing checks to ensure the van is organized, clean, roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in various locations and conditions.
3. Serving our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions, and keeping them informed of any delays.
4. Learning to use new technology confidently to do your job effectively, comfortable driving a large vehicle in different locations from residential streets to country lanes.
5. When not on the road, helping maintain an efficient operation in the stock room or on the shop floor.
6. Building great knowledge about our products, services, and promotions to help provide recommendations.

Responsibilities:

Working in our stores

As a leading UK digital retailer, Argos provides outstanding convenience, choice, and value across a vast range of products for the moments that matter. As a Home Delivery Driver working in a standalone store, you’ll provide a fast-track service that brings Argos products directly to customers' doors.

Eligibility:

• You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points.
• You will complete an online driving risk assessment during your interview, and if successful, there will be a driving assessment when you join.
• You must have the right to work in the UK.
• You should be able to work a variety of shifts across the week, including three shift blocks during the day: Monday to Sunday 5:00 am - 1:00 pm, 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm, 6:00 pm - 10:30 pm. Your hours will be scheduled around your availability and may vary weekly. There may also be opportunities for overtime, including supporting your local Sainsbury’s.
