Job summary

Sainsbury's Limited is hiring a Delivery Driver for Argos Local Fulfilment Centres in Reading. You will deliver products to customers' doors or collection points, load the van, and manage a defined number of drops per shift with on-route guidance.

Role is part-time (30 hours/week) on a fixed-term basis with a contract end date of 2 January 2027. Right to Work in the UK and a clean UK/EU licence are required.

Qualifications

• Must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
• Fully licensed to drive a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points

Responsibilities

• Deliver Argos products directly to customers' front doors or collection points
• Load the van and complete a set number of drops per shift with route guidance
• Ensure timely, accurate deliveries with a friendly, professional attitude
• Support on-road communications and return to site within shift times

You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK

You must be fully licenced to drive and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.

Whilst many of our roles will be temporary over the festive period, there may also be permanent opportunities available - please check the contract type and schedule hours before applying to ensure that the role is right for you.

What you’ll be doing:

• With a market-leading delivery service offering over 60,000 products, you’ll handle items with care, delivering Argos products directly to customers’ front doors or their preferred collection point
• Responsible for loading the van and delivering a set number of drops in a shift with guidance from an ePod
• Ensuring timely and accurate deliveries with a friendly and professional attitude
• We will provide phone support while you’re on the road, and our route guidance will ensure you return to the site within your shift times
• Safe driving and adherence to guidelines are essential
