Job summary

Argos Limited is seeking a Home Delivery Driver to deliver products to customers' doors across diverse locations. You will drive a 3.5 tonne van, complete safety checks, and provide excellent customer service as the face of Argos.

You will work shifts across the week, including early mornings, with opportunities for overtime in some cases. Training on new digital tools and products will help you excel in a fast-paced, inclusive environment at Argos.

Qualifications

• Must be over 18 and hold a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
• Must pass an online driving risk assessment as part of the interview and a driving assessment on joining
• Right to Work in the UK must be shown
• Ability to work a variety of shifts across the week and three day blocks: 5:00am–1:00pm, 1:00pm–6:00pm, 6:00pm–10:30pm
• Friendly and professional with enthusiasm to help customers as the face of Argos
• Proficient driving a large vehicle in residential streets to country lanes and delivering to diverse addresses
• Able to work in a fast-paced, physical environment and use initiative while also being part of a team
• Willing to learn new digital tools and technology to perform the role effectively

Responsibilities

• Drive a 3.5 tonne van to deliver products to customers on time and in good condition
• Perform checks to keep the van organized, clean, roadworthy and secure before journeys
• Support customers, answer questions and communicate delays clearly
• Learn to use new technology to improve job performance
• Assist with stock room or shop floor tasks when not on the road
• Build knowledge about Argos products and promotions to assist with recommendations

• Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver a variety of products to our customers doorsteps, on-time and in great condition
• Completing checks to ensure the van is organised, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions
• Serve our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions and keeping them aware of any delays
• Confident in learning to use new technology to do your job brilliantly, comfortable driving a large vehicle in different locations from residential streets to country lanes
• When not on the road, you'll help maintain a slick operation in the stock room or on the shop floor
• Build great knowledge about our products, services and promotions to help provide recommendations

Eligibility:

Your hours will be scheduled to fit around your availability and may vary from week to week. Plus, there may be opportunities for overtime, including supporting your local Sainsbury's.
