As a Home Delivery Driver working in one of our standalone stores, you’ll provide an industry-leading fast-track service that brings Argos products to customers' doors.
- You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points on it.
- You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview, and if successful, there’ll be a driving assessment when you join us.
- You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK.
- Ability to work a variety of shifts across the week and three shift blocks during the day: Monday to Sunday 5:00am - 1:00pm, 1:00pm - 6:00pm, 6:00pm - 10:30pm. Your hours will be scheduled to fit around your availability and may vary from week to week. Plus, there may be opportunities for overtime, including supporting your local Sainsbury’s.
What you’ll be doing:
- Driving a 3.5 tonne van to deliver a variety of products to our customers' doorsteps, on time and in great condition.
- Completing checks to ensure the van is organized, clean, and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road to drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions.
- Serving our customers brilliantly, supporting with any questions, and keeping them aware of any delays.
- Confident in learning to use new technology to do your job brilliantly, comfortable driving a large vehicle in different locations from residential streets to country lanes.
- When not on the road, helping to maintain a slick operation in the stock room or on the shop floor.
- Building great knowledge about our products, services, and promotions to help provide recommendations.
