Job summary

Wolseley Group, Pipe & Climate Centre, Newcastle, is seeking a Delivery Driver (C1) to join our full-time team. You will transport pipe and climate products, handling up to 15 deliveries daily, while maintaining high health and safety standards and delivering excellent customer service to our customers.

Based in Newcastle, you will operate a 7.5T lorry, hold a valid LGV C1 and CPC cards, and commit to a 40-hour week Monday to Friday, 7:00am–4:00pm, with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Full UK Driving Licence and LGV C1 licence.
• Experience delivering to customers with good service focus.
• CPC and tachograph knowledge expected.

Responsibilities

• Drive a 7.5T lorry delivering pipe and climate products to customers.
• Carry out up to 15 deliveries a day.
• Perform daily vehicle and load safety checks and report defects.
• Provide excellent customer service at all times.

As a Delivery Driver (C1) based in the Newcastle, you’ll be responsible for:

• Driving a 7.5T lorry delivering pipe and climate products to our customers (This will involve manual handling heavy stock items)
• Carrying out up to 15 deliveries a day
• Ensuring all aspects of Health and Safety are adhered to, carrying out a daily check on the vehicle, equipment and load for which you have responsibility and reporting any defects
• Providing excellent customer service at all times

This role is a full time, permanent position working 40 hours a week Monday to Friday between 07.00am - 4.00pm.
