Robert Lee Distribution Limited is the largest independent distributor of bathroom, kitchen, and plumbing products, supplying to retailers in the UK.
The ideal person will have good communication skills, be self-motivated, reliable, and have a 'can-do attitude.
We are looking for experienced multi-drop Drivers to join our small friendly team of drivers, at our Swindon site.
The ideal candidate will be a flexible, reliable, team player and have 3.5-tonne multi-drop experience.
There is significant heavy lifting involved when deliveries are made.

JOB PURPOSE
Ensure RLD products are transported and delivered in good condition to RLD customers within set delivery timescales, and our customer needs are met.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Load and unload delivery vehicles – heavy lifting where required
· Ensure all visual safety checks are performed on the vehicle before departing in line with the RLD procedure
· Follow RLD Health and Safety protocols s when transporting and unloading goods
· Deliver all goods to customers on designated routes within set delivery timescales
· Maintain regular communication with the relevant manager/route planner
· Review deliveries with recipients to ensure they are accurate
· Take photographs of goods or obtain written confirmation at the point of delivery for POD purposes, where required
· Clean and refuel vehicle on return to base, and complete Day End report for internal audit purposes
· Assist at the warehouse and backdoor to offload goods at Day End
· Take responsibility for RLD’s property by reporting any suspicious activity at work
· Report any damaged or missing goods to the line manager in line with internal timescales and procedure
· Report any accidents to the line manager immediately to the vehicle, third party property, or premises. Complete Accident Report in line with Health & Safety protocols and legislative requirements
· Ensure efficient operations by adhering to all RLD operational procedures, rules and schedules, policies, and procedures
· Treat RLD property with care and concern at all times
GENERAL
1. To be responsible for your health and safety and that of your colleagues, by the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) and relevant legislation, including reporting any health and safety hazard immediately you become aware of it.
2. To work by the General Data Protection Regulations and Data Protection Act 2018.
3. The post holder may have access to material that is confidential. It is a condition of their employment contract that they ensure that no confidential material is leaked from the department to unauthorized personnel.
4. To implement the Equal Opportunities Policy into your daily activities. All employees are required to work by the Equality Act (2010).
