Delivery Driver - Join Our Client's Team

Salary: £26,830 per annum + £100/month attendance bonus

Contract: 40-hour, Monday to Friday, 5am start (possibly earlier) 3.5t van - multi drop.

Location: Stevenage base- Approx 15 - 20 drops per day. Predominantly in London

Our client is seeking a dedicated and professional Delivery Driver to join their team. As a key part of their logistics operation, you will be responsible for ensuring timely deliveries to commercial locations, route planning, vehicle checks, and providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily vehicle safety checks and report any faults.
• Load and unload goods ensuring compliance with safety standards.
• Ensure timely, accurate deliveries and handle Proof of Delivery (POD) paperwork.
• Present a professional image and maintain high customer service standards.
• Adhere to road traffic legislation, environmental, health & safety policies.
• Assist with stock checks and other warehouse tasks as needed.
• Maintain clean and roadworthy vehicles at all times.
• Operate in a flexible manner to meet delivery schedules, understanding the unpredictability of traffic, road conditions, and other factors.
  
  

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence (max 3 points).
• Driver CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card.
• Experience driving for at least 2 years.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and work extra hours if needed.
• Local area knowledge - London specifically.
