Job summary

The Dash Group is seeking a Delivery Driver for our Dash Logistix operation in the South-West. You will join a 2-person crew to deliver, assemble and install large goods at customers’ homes, delivering with care and a focus on service. You’ll also support multi‑drop parcels, complete pre‑departure checks, and use the handheld terminal to scan items.

Responsibilities

Job description

Pay - £13.00 per hour. Average 45-50 hours per week.

Shift pattern - 5 days per week worked between Monday and Saturday, with Saturday working required. Typical start times between 07:00am and 10:00am depending on route, to route finish.

Purpose

Dash Logistix is a leading logistics provider in the South-West, committed to delivering exceptional service and operational excellence.

As a Delivery Driver, your primary responsibility will be supporting our 2-person crew delivery operation, delivering, assembling and installing large goods safely and efficiently within customers' homes. You will play a vital role in ensuring every delivery is completed to the highest standards of customer service, professionalism and care.

In addition, you will be expected to provide support across our wider delivery operation, including multi-drop parcel deliveries and collections, as required to meet business needs.

This role requires flexibility, reliability, and a willingness to undertake a variety of delivery duties while maintaining high standards of safety, efficiency and customer service.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• As part of a 2-person crew, deliver, assemble and install a wide range of home furnishings, electrical products and sports equipment, ensuring every delivery is completed with the highest level of customer service
• Load and offload large and often heavy goods from vehicles, using appropriate manual handling techniques and equipment where required
• Complete deliveries and collections throughout the day in a timely manner whilst adhering to company standards, health & safety procedures and road safety laws
• Provide excellent customer service, always acting as a professional and courteous representative of the business
• Accurately check and scan items out for delivery using a handheld terminal (HHT), reporting any discrepancies to your Line Manager
• Complete pre-departure vehicle checks to ensure your vehicle is safe to operate and report any defects or concerns promptly
• Communicate effectively with customers, colleagues and management, including reporting any issues, delays or incidents during the working day
• Provide cover for multi-drop parcel delivery and collection routes as required, ensuring deliveries are completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
• Load and offload parcel consignments and sort items for efficient delivery when undertaking multi-drop duties
• At the end of the day, return to depot, unload and label any non-deliveries and ensure all deliveries are correctly accounted for on the HHT
• Attend driver briefings and debriefings with the manager on duty.
• Ensure vehicles are kept clean, presentable and refuelled ready for the next shift.

What We're Looking For

• A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to support both 2-person crew and multi-drop delivery operations
• A full UK driving licence.
• The physical ability to manually lift and move sometimes heavy consignments.
• Previous driving experience.
• Good time keeping and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication skills to be able to provide support to our customers on the phone and in person.
• All of our staff must pass a basic DBS check.
