AWS Global Services seeks engineers to design and develop cloud-native applications, using modern architectural patterns and AWS services. You will implement full-stack solutions and build scalable, secure systems, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver customer solutions and mentor peers.

Roles include driving cloud-native development practices and contributing to architecture decisions across distributed environments, with emphasis on security and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience designing cloud-native applications using AWS.
• Proficient in at least one programming language listed above.
• Experience with distributed computing environments and microservices.
• Familiarity with infrastructure as code tools (CloudFormation/CDK/Terraform).

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

• Knowledge of the primary aws services (ec2, elb, rds, route53 & s3)
• Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
• Experience in software development, or experience managing full application stacks from the OS up through custom applications and experience in any Bigdata architecture
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one programming language (TypeScript, Node.js, Angular, React, Java, C#, Go)
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture patterns and microservices
• Experience with DevSecOps practices, GitOps and CI/CD tools
• Experience with Infrastructure as code tooling e.g CloudFormation, CDK or Terraform

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in IT implementation
• Experience and technical expertise (design and implementation) in cloud computing technologies
• Experience leading the design, development and deployment of business software at scale or recent hands-on technology infrastructure, network, compute, storage, and virtualization experience
• Experience with AWS or cloud technologies
• Knowledge of database systems and SQL
• Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
• Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Experience in automation testing
• Experience troubleshooting problems and offering solutions to streamline complex challenges
• Experience leading technical implementations at enterprise scale
