Job summary

Pertemps Heathrow is seeking a reliable Driver's Assistant to join our furniture delivery team in High Wycombe. You will work alongside the delivery driver to safely and efficiently deliver furniture to customers' homes and businesses. This is a temporary to permanent opportunity.

Hours are 7:00am to 5:00pm, five days a week, with a focus on teamwork, punctuality and high standards of customer service. The role requires physical fitness to lift and manoeuvre furniture, with on‑the‑job training

Qualifications

• Physically able to lift and carry furniture.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Friendly and professional with customers.
• A good team player with a positive attitude.
• Able to follow instructions and work efficiently.
• Experience in furniture delivery/removals/warehouse is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the driver with loading and unloading of furniture.
• Delivering furniture to customers safely and on time.
• Carrying and manoeuvring furniture into customers' properties.
• Assisting with positioning furniture where required.
• Ensuring furniture is handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Providing friendly and professional customer service.
• Helping with vehicle loading and ensuring items are secure for transportation.
• Following delivery schedules and instructions from the driver/management.
• Maintaining a clean and tidy delivery vehicle.
• Working as part of a team to ensure deliveries are completed efficiently.
