About the role

Balfour Beatty has an exciting opportunity for a Delivering Works Within Possession (DWWP) Manager to join our outstanding Rail Teamto work at our Old Oak Common development in London - join us and be part of the largest construction project in the UK.

HS2s new c. 1 billion Old Oak Common station will become the UKs best-connected rail station once completed. Our Balfour Beatty VINCI SYTRA joint venture will be responsible for the final design, construction, and commissioning of the station in Northwest London.

Upon completion, the new station will boast six underground platforms and up to eight platforms on the adjacent Great Western Main Line. Old Oak Common will also provide highspeed rail services to the Midlands, central London, Scotland, and the North, as well as direct services to three major airports. Incorporating passenger and retail facilities, the new station will provide an exceptional customer experience for both passengers and visitors to the station.

As a DWWP Manager you will support the planning and delivery of rail possessions at Old Oak Common, ensuring compliance with the T-Minus process and readiness certification. This specialist role requires strong rail knowledge and coordination across on-site teams, focusing on CSM and EIS documentation.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinate Works Package teams to deliver critical rail interface information for T-37 (NR) and T-52 (LU) readiness certification
  • Collate and manage documentation for Entry into Service (EIS) and H&S Files
  • Maintain DWWP Register and integrate into works documentation tracker
  • Develop possession communications and contingency plans
  • Set up and manage command & control centres for possessions
  • Support possession box plans with IPT input
  • Collaborate with the Track Access Manager; attend/cover whiteboard meetings as required
  • Perform COSS duties when necessary
  • Ensure compliance with Network Rail standards
  • Lead coordination of CSM and EIS documentation with package teams

Who we're looking for

Key Skills & Experience (Essential):

  • Proficient in Office365, especially SharePoint and Teams
  • Effective both on-site and remotely
  • Strong team player with a collaborative mindset
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to delivery
  • Quick to learn technical and business concepts

Desirable:

  • Experience gathering user requirements and developing reporting tools
  • Confident in presenting to senior leadership
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Knowledge of SSOW, PTS/COSS (or willingness to train)
  • Understanding of compliance processes and form usage
